for a perfect raclette evening

Do you also love raclette?

End the evening with your loved ones with a heavenly meal - ideally with raclette ! It's not only super sociable and cozy , but above all super varied , so there's guaranteed to be something for every taste . To make the taste experience perfect and give your guests a unique evening , however, a little preparation is required and, above all, the right raclette device .

Let's start at the origin

Did you know that raclette cheese, as well as the traditional way of preparing it, originally comes from the heart of Switzerland , from the Valais? And according to tradition, it is more than 400 years old? Legend has it that Léon, a Valais native, invented raclette . One cold day, he warmed a piece of cheese over an open wood fire and enjoyed the melted cheese . That was the birth of the raclette dish. Raclette is derived from the word "racler" and means " to scrape " in the local French dialect. "Scrape" because the cheese is scraped off the wheel after it has been melted over the fire . It is a dish that has since provided taste and tradition far beyond the country's borders.

What ingredients do you need for raclette?

Basically , you can put whatever you want in your pans . It doesn't matter whether you fancy vegetables or meat - or a vegetarian alternative. There are no limits to your imagination . Fancy a pizza evening?

In this recipe we use hearty, spicy vegetarian bacon cubes from Outlawz.

VEGETARIAN HALLOWEEN! PIZZA with Outlawz bacon cubes

  • 1 can chopped
  • Pelati, approx. 400 g
  • 1 garlic clove,
  • pressed
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt, pepper
  • 1 rectangular
  • rolled out
  • Pizza dough, approx. 570 g,
  • 16 × 6 cm
  • large pieces
  • 60 g kale,
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g pumpkin flesh, e.g.
  • Orange kid,
  • on the Rösti grater
  • grated
  • 200g mozzarella,
  • torn
  • 50 g Sbrinz AOP,
  • grated
  • 110 g Vegetarian
  • Bacon cubes,
  • by Outlawz Food

PREPARE:

  • Peeled tomatoes, garlic,
  • Simmer the sugar and spices uncovered in a large pan for 20-25 minutes until thick.
  • Place the dough pieces in the pans. Mix the kale with the oil. First spread the tomato sauce, then the pumpkin, mozzarella, kale, bacon cubes and Sbrinz on the dough.
  • BAKE:
  • Preheat the oven to the highest setting and bake the pizzas for 10-15 minutes.
