🛒 INGREDIENTS FOR 2 SERVINGS

  • For fresh almond milk (Hurom):

    • 100 g almonds (raw, unsalted)
    • 500 ml water (cold or room temperature)
    • Optional: 1 date or 1 tsp maple syrup for sweetening.

    🌿 For the Golden Milk:

    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • ½ tsp freshly grated ginger (or ¼ tsp ginger powder)
    • ¼ tsp cinnamon
    • 1 pinch of black pepper
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (to taste)
    • Optional: ½ tsp coconut oil or ghee (for a creamier texture)

👨 PREPARATION :

  1. Prepare almonds (the day before):
Place almonds in a bowl and cover with water.
Soak overnight (at least 8 hours). This will make them softer, easier to digest, and produce creamier milk.

  2. Making fresh almond milk in the Hurom:
The next day, drain the soaking water and briefly rinse the almonds.
Then add to the Hurom Slow Juicer , alternating with 500 ml of fresh water.
The device slowly and gently extracts the fresh almond milk – without any heating.
💡 Tip: You can add a date or a teaspoon of maple syrup to the juicer for natural sweetness.

  3. To prepare Golden Milk:
Pour the freshly squeezed almond milk into a small saucepan and heat gently over medium heat (do not boil).
Stir in turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and pepper, optionally add coconut oil.
Let it steep gently for about 5 minutes until the aromas develop.

  4. Sweeten & enjoy:
Remove from heat and season with maple syrup or honey.
Pour into cups, stir briefly – and enjoy warm.

💛 Tip:

  • Use the almond pulp from the Hurom for power balls or muesli – in keeping with the zero waste philosophy .
  • Fresh milk will keep in the refrigerator for about 2 days.
