The founding

The KOENIG company was founded in 1954 by Friedrich Koenig, a pioneer from Zurich-Schwamendingen. He invented the electric grill for the home. People affectionately called him “ the Grill King ”. Friedrich Koenig lived up to his name. Over the years he expanded his range step by step, in a targeted and quality-oriented manner. Among other things, he introduced coffee machines, deep fryers, raclette ovens and the first baking grill with hot air .

Swiss design

In 2016, KOENIG launched a major innovation , which was continued in 2017 and 2018. Five products in the KOENIG range are now marketed under “ Original Swiss Design ”. KOENIG thus underlines its Swiss roots .

Since June 2018, TAVORA Brands AG has taken responsibility for designing the range and marketing all KOENIG household appliances in order to continue the great tradition of the KOENIG brand . Kitchen-more.ch is the web shop of TAVORA Brands AG with headquarters in Oberarth SZ.
